Dmitri Kitaenko is one of the leading interpreters of Tchaikovsky – on this all critics are in agreement. In a guest appearance on Variationen on WDR 3 to mark the completion of his symphonic recordings, Kitaenko spoke about Tchaikovsky’s earlier symphonic works and the crafting of the music. “Through Tchaikovsky’s music, I dive into his world and feel at home there”, Kitaenko explains.
