New Scriabin CD “of incredible impact”

The new CD of Alexander Scriabin’s Second Symphony and Poème de l’Extase, performed by the WDR Rundfunkchor and the Gürzenich-Orchester Köln under Dmitrij Kitajenko (Oehms Classics OC 474) has received a first very good review from Pizzicato.
The reviewer writes that the Second Symphony’s “subtle colorful differentiation is still very romantic, but immensely exciting.”
In the Poème de l’Extase, too, “Kitajenko proves himself a master of differentiation, crescendo and breathing.”
